Mohawk Services strives to provide exceptional customer service while exceeding the needs of our customers by providing safe and dependable freight transportation services.
History
Mohawk Services began in 1986 when current President & Owner Glenn Smith bought his first truck as an owner operator. Mr. Smith continued to work for several companies as an owner operator throughout the late 1980s and 1990s. In 1998, ,Mr. Smith secured his first dedicated account with Kuehne-Nagel in Atlanta, GA. Becoming the in house carrier for Kuehne-Nagel's local pickup and deliveries, he quickly expanded from one truck to four, and Mohawk Services was born. The company was incorporated in 2000.
In 2002, Mohawk Services became the in house carrier for Kuehne-Nagel in Orlando, FL. Throughout the rest of the decade, Mohawk Services grew slowly alongside their partners in Atlanta & Orlando, servicing their local pickup & delivery needs as well as hot shot/dedicated needs. As a new decade began in 2010, Mohawk Services was focused on continued growth. Mohawk Services began working with more and more customers in Atlanta and Orlando, increasing the amount of freight Mohawk Services handled in Atlanta & Orlando. Mohawk Services expanded from outside the local pickup and delivery market, adding line haul services to Miami. In 2013, Mohawk Services became Towne Air's agent for the Orlando, FL market. In 2015, Mohawk Services expanded into the Charlotte, NC market. In 2016, Mohawk Services began their Atlanta warehouse operation. In the years following, Mohawk Services continued to expand their footprint in Atlanta, Charlotte, & Orlando markets, adding line haul services to Charlotte & Greenville, SC as well.
